Aganetha Dyck is an artist who collaborates with honeybees. She places ordinary objects in hives, allowing the bees to encrust the objects in honeycomb.

She is interested in inter-species communication and asks questions about the ramifications if honeybees should disappear from earth.

During Design Miami/Basel 2010 last month, Dutch designer Tomáš Gabzdil Libertiny built a glass vitrine and suspended this martyred figure in the middle. 40,000 worker bees were then released over the course of the event so that a wax honeycomb structure was created over the figure
